Migrating to FileMaker 13
Many organizations are still running older versions of FileMaker. FileMaker Pro 12 implemented a new file format, and FileMaker 13 adds additional features. Between the two, there are re-engineered container fields, enhanced charting capabilities, execute SQL function and WebDirect features.
As a result of the new file format, the process of upgrading to FileMaker Pro 13 from versions 7-11 is more involved than it was with previous versions. For some companies, it's fine to directly convert files into FileMaker Pro 13, while others should rewrite portions of their system to take full advantage of new features. The Moyer Group, having performed scores of conversions, is well equipped to advise clients on and implement the most appropriate strategy.
